Short Bio
I am a Professor at the School of Engineering, University of Guelph. I received my Ph.D. and my M.A.Sc. from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Toronto, and my 5-year diploma degree from the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering at the Technical University of Crete, Greece.
Research
My research interests span primarily in the area of mobile systems and the Internet of Things (IoT). I am mainly working on the design, program, simulation, and evaluation of smart systems as well as testbed prototyping, with a current focus on novel smart city applications through smartphones. Recently, I have co-authored an overview article on Personal Devices for Contact Tracing: Smartphones and Wearables to Fight Covid-19, and one on Internet-of-Things Devices and Assistive Technologies for Healthcare: Applications, Challenges, and Opportunities,.
